Each year, the La Vernia Lions Club sponsors a scholarship pageant for deserving young ladies in the area. Beyond talent and beauty, the Miss La Vernia ™ Scholarship Pageant represents the ideals of our community. We teach and encourage healthy living, self-confidence, creative accomplishment, community service, and the pursuit of scholastic achievement among young ladies. Our goal is to inspire, motivate, and lift young ladies to the realization that they are strong, independent, capable people who can accomplish anything.
